Floor/Building
This apartment is on the fourth floor of a classically beautiful and well-kept Belle Époque building. There is a lift that will fit three people and we think it will just about fit an unfolded pushchair. Guests should note that there are a few stairs to climb before the lift can be accessed. Should you decide to walk there are 90 steps up to the apartment.
Neighbourhood
Avenue Georges Clemenceau is just next to Avenue Jean Médecin, the main shopping street and the main run of the tramway. There is a very large supermarket and plenty of shops and restaurants within a few minutes' walk. A bakery is less than a minute away, as is the tram.

The train station can be reached in ten minutes on foot in one direction, and a 15 minute stroll in the other will get you to either the beach and the Promenade or the Old Town.

This is also a great apartment as a base to explore the Côte d’Azur using the excellent public transport network.

Living Area

The living room is bathed in natural light through two full length windows that lead onto small curved balconies. The white walls are complemented with small colourful prints, elegant over-mantle mirror and marble fireplace with a wrought iron cover. The furnishings are bespoke yet subtle and light with touches of raspberry in the custom made curtains, Persian rug and sofa cushions.

There is a two-seater sofa, two separate armchairs, coffee table, bookshelf, plenty of soft lighting and a ceiling fan for those long hot days. There is also a TV and the all-important Wi-Fi. Next to the living room you will find the dining table with chairs to seat four.

Kitchen

Just next to the living room the kitchen benefits from the same light and traditional parquet flooring. The light grey granite worktop fits perfectly with another original marble fireplace and the light grey cupboards tie in nicely with the subtle colour scheme. It is spacious and well designed for making the most of all those fabulous Mediterranean ingredients.

There is a four ring ceramic hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, full size fridge with under counter freezer and washing machine.

Bedrooms

In keeping with the classically elegant style of the rest of the apartment and with a neutral colour scheme, the first bedroom has a large super-king bed and custom made floral print curtains that frame the full length windows. There is access onto a balcony with table and chairs. The balcony is in a shaded corner, safe from the heat of the sun and overlooks an internal courtyard.

There are bedside tables with reading lamps either side of the bed, a double wardrobe, full length mirror and chest of drawers. This room has the added bonus of air-conditioning.

Next to this bedroom is the second twin room which holds two single beds. Here the classic style is modernised with pale grey with accents of turquoise and touches of black.

There are two bedside tables with reading lamps, integrated wardrobe and chest of drawers. There is also air-conditioning.

Bathroom

The modern and high quality bathroom is finished in sandy beige stone. There is a large walk in shower, vanity cupboard with wash basin and mirror.

There is a separate WC.

How to get there
From the Airport

From the Train Station

By Car

Visit our transport page for full tram, taxi and bus information. Our recommendation from either T1 or T2 is the tram, transfer or taxi.

The Line 2 Tram from either T1 or T2. Fare ride is 1.50€ and takes approximately 20 minutes. Trams generally run every six minutes. Disembark at the Jean Medecin tram stop and it’s a six minute walk to the apartment.

We can meet you at the tram stop at street level by the lift, or outside the apartment building, as you prefer.

A transfer with keys, booked through our site, will guarantee you an early check-in of 13:00 and will be a pleasant 20 minute ride. You will be picked up in the arrival terminal by the driver holding a name card, who is in possession of your keys. See our TRAVEL EXTRAS PAGE or select at checkout.

Taxis can be picked up at either terminal.

If you are coming to Nice from somewhere else in France, we recommend you take an SNCF train to Gare Nice Ville.

From the station, the tram provides a cheap, convenient way to get to your apartment. When you leave the Gare, turn left and follow Avenue Thiers, until you come to Avenue Jean Medecin. The trams come every five minutes and tickets cost 1.50€. Take the tram just one stop down the tram line, less than a two minute journey, and get off at Jean Medecin, from where it's a four minute walk to the apartment.

We can meet you at the tram stop, or outside the apartment building, as you prefer.

There is no need for a taxi – we doubt a driver would be willing to accept the fare for such a short trip as the apartment is only a six minute walk from the station.

See our transport page for more info.

Driving in Nice can be a challenge. We strongly advise GPS or a very good map. A nearby car park in the Musiciens area is Parking Nice Etoile on Rue Deudon which is approximately a five minute walk away from the Joséphine apartment. Parking Louvre at 20 Boulevard Victor Hugo is another option for parking near to the apartment and requires a walk of about four minutes. We will send you a GPS reference and full address with your arrival details.

Unfortunately, you can expect to pay up to 30€ a day for parking in central locations.
