Riviera Pebbles Blog: Emilie’s & the Cool Kids
Posted on 6th Jul 2022 in Eats & Drinks
Emilie’s Cookies
9 rue alberti, 1 rue de la prefecture, Nice Etoile (30 av. Jean Medecin)
Connoisseurs of bagels, quiches and of course, cookies, Emilie's Cookies is one of the hottest spots along the Riviera for brunching and lunching.
With the first outlet opening on rue Alberti in 2007, the franchise has quickly grown in both size and popularity. It’s now home to around 20 friendly staff working across 7 branches, including one in Reykjavik, Iceland!
Warm smiles, along with the smell of freshly baked cookies, cakes, and other delicious treats are always a good welcome. It’s no wonder the queues go out of the door at peak times. Beware, there is a lot to choose from! To help you out, some favourites from us in the Pebbles office include the Fat Mike (avocado, bacon, cheese and onion), and Salmon & Garfunkel (salmon, cream cheese and avocado) bagels. For dessert, we recommend the M&M cookies, Nutellala muffin or a slice of carrot cake.
The drinks menu ranges from your standard espresso to a moreish 'Nutellacho,' with an abundance of smoothies and milkshakes in between. They also make their own ice tea and lemonade, both of which are the perfect refreshment on a warm summer day.
In Nice, you can find an Emilie's Cookies branch at the original location of 9 rue Alberti, or if you're in the Old Town, stop by at 1 rue de la Prefecture which is a very short walk from the Opera – Vielle Ville tram and bus stop. Alternatively, to take a break from shopping, there is also a branche in Nice Etoile.
If you're travelling further afield along the Riviera, you can also look out for branches in Cannes, the Polygone shopping mall in Cagnes-sur-Mer, Marseille, Sophia Antipolis and Monaco.
Staff Secrets:
This is Marie, born and raised in Nice and a cookie-dealer at the Alberti branch. She loves Nice for the sun, the sea and the lovely people. Her personal favourite from the Emilie's menu is the Milka-Peanut Butter cookie, definitely worth trying out if it's recommended by a cookie-pro.
