Riviera Pebbles Blog: Scrummy all day breakfasting and elevenses at La Popote d’Ondine
Posted on 10th Jul 2019 in Eats & Drinks
18 rue Gioffredo,
06000 Nice.

La Popote d’Ondine is the epitome of lazy, tasty Sunday breakfasts but all day long, and for every day of the week. Yay! Waffles, pancakes, salads and homemade cakes galore, all heartily washed down with shakes, juices and gourmet coffee.
Salmon and avocado on toast, bagels dripping with cream cheese, poached eggs, granola, bananas and syrup… we won’t tease you further.
This quaint cosy place has been around for a few years, but we’ve only just discovered it. Our loss! We don’t know how we missed it since it’s just around the corner from our office, but there you go. Proof that there’s always more of Nice to discover, no matter how many trainers you’ve worn out pounding the pavements over the years.
Since many of us have the flexitarian bug, we’re more on the radar for those places offering healthy but tasty and imaginative food, and here’s yet another gem. There are loads of choice for vegans and vegetarians and some gluten-free options.
You can sit outside or in and enjoy time with your friends, family or just a bit of alone time. The staff make you feel right at home and you can hear much chattering in English as well as French and other nationalities.
Open from 9:00 – 18:00 Monday to Friday
10:00 – 18:00 Saturdays
11:00 – 15:00 Sundays
