Riviera Pebbles Blog: What's On: New Year's Eve in Nice
Posted on 5th Dec 2014 in What's On
In Nice, most of you will know that the action takes place along the Promenade before the annual fireworks display across the bay. We suggest taking a couple of plastic coupes and bottle of bubbly to bring in the New Year with style. Whether you choose to stay at home and relax, or head out to a local bar, there's plenty of action around the Old Town and Pedestrian Zones too.
Monaco
Monaco celebrates the end of 2014 with an exciting fireworks display on Quai Albert 1er. Watch the skies light up with a vin chaud or glass of champagne from the Christmas village. Alternatively, live the high-life at one of the glitzy parties in Monaco's top hotels.
Cannes
Cannes, similarly, celebrates with fireworks at midnight - stand on the famous Croisette and hear the crowds ooh and ahh as the fireworks light up the Baie de Cannes.
Antibes
For a more original evening for all the family, why not trying bringin in 2015 at Marineland?
Champagne, fireworks, a seven-course dinner plus a spectacular aquatic show are on offer.
There are a two main packages available for the evening:
Classic at 129 € per person
Premium at 189€ per person

If you're brave enough to take a plunge in the Mediterranean, don't forget your bathing suit for the
Bain du Jour de l'An. This New Year's day swim takes place at 11.30am at Plage de la Salis, Juan-les-Pins.
For the less adventurous, you can start 2015 with a traditional New Year's Day Viennese Waltz from the Philharmonic Orchestra of Cannes who will play two concerts at 11am and 4pm at the Palais de Congres at Juan-les-Pins.
